Sunita Devi, a 34-year-old woman from Ganjam district, was struggling to feed her family of five on her husband's meager daily wage income. After joining CERDS Women Empowerment Program in 2022, she received training in food processing and packaging, along with a micro-loan of ₹25,000.
Today, she runs a successful pickle and papad business, earning over ₹18,000 per month, has built a pucca house, and sends all three children to school. Her story has inspired 150 other women in her village to join the program.
